DRUG ABUSE: EFFECT THAT BRING IN THE SOCIETY AND SOLUTION

DRUG ABUSE: A SILENT THIEF

It's imperative to know that the only crime humans commit themselves is the habit of drug addiction caused by their hands. With all due respect, drug abuse is an insult to any nation, citizens and its policy makers.

Drug abuse has made so many young folks and adults to lobby in vices that they cannot come out from and hence, they end up dead, insane, or frustrated for life.

Although, others came out from it through God's amazing grace while some was rescued by mental health organizations.

Several drug addicts abuse substance for different reasons known to them. In all these, there are no excuses worth their addictions even peer pressure shouldn't be taken for an alibi. Rather, they are to take the bull by the horn and come to term with life's challenges by finding ways to peter out of it than engaging in hard drugs for survival.

Some of these addicts even make use of drugs for the sake of wooing a lady, have sex with her for countless times and making her see him as a rugged dude even ladies do them too and this menace has caused the society shame in the name of wrong fame.

Whether it's tramadol, codeine, caffeine, marijuana, syrups and suchlike. So far, it's abused, lasting solution should be given to them as soon as now.

Though, there are advantages but their harm to the body of humans has been rampant in decades long ago and we can wait to see it curbed out with immediate effect.

3 Basic Things The Government Should Do To Curb Drug Abuse.

1. Don't Play Politics: Most policy in Nigeria cannot stand because everything has fall into the hands of politicking. The health sector in the nation need to shake of their hands from seeing white and calling it black because of money exchange from above or from these drug traffickers. Say no to benefits that won't last you forever and be truthful to yourselves as you do your jobs. No favourite, no godfatherism, no nepotisim. Let everyone be effective in discharging their duties rightly.

2. No Importation Of Hard Drugs: Government should not allow hard drugs or drugs that could hype unnecessarily into the country. Enough of banding the goods when it has already entered the country. It should be made known to Nigeria ambassadors in the countries that produces these goods to tell them not to send such goods over to Nigeria with governmental stamp that is sealed by the president. Taking things serious from henceforth will really help the nation.

3. Uplifting Right NGO's (Non Governmental Organization): Yoruba's will say that, using both hands to wash dirt off one's hands will make the hands clean. In other words, the government needs to join hands with existing NGO's that deals with drug abuse so that it can curbed very easily without much stress or struggle. If the government can uplift NGO's to do more, then there will be less danger of drug abuse in the country and drug traffickers with addicts will be penalised severely. NGO's are really trying but the government need to back them up with the right help they are reaching out to them for. With this, many lives will be transformed and they also will be ready to preach the gospel of drug abuse efficiently to others.

These and many more will help the government curb drug abusers and traffickers in the nation. Peace will reign and many will be happy to live a right life without the thought of lavishing their meager or huge finance on hard drugs.

Thank you.
